I have worked as a therapist/psychologist in Denmark and Canada for 15 years. My work has primarily been with those experiencing relational difficulties and complex traumas. I am authorized as a psychologist in Denmark (Danish Board of Psychologists) and as a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (USA and Canada). Meditation teaching/dharma support I was first introduced to buddhist meditation as a young child by a close family member. I came to the Theravada Buddhist tradition in 2009 and have practiced primarily in the Ven. Mahasi Sayadaw tradition. The last years I have practiced within the Ven. Pa Auk Sayadaw tradition with a focus on Anapanasati (mindfulnesss of breathing) and Brahmavihara (lovingkindness) practice. In 2019/ 2020 I completed 6 months of retreat practice at the Forest Refuge (Insight Mediation Society) and in self-retreat. I received training in the Pa Auk jhana system by Shaila Catherine, Ven. Sayadaw U Jagara, Winnie Narzarko and my primary teacher Marcia Rose during these retreat months. I am currently being mentored by Marcia Rose, and other dharma teachers, to teach meditation retreats in the Insight meditation tradition and dharma in daily life. I am also studying Buddhist chaplaincy through the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies. |
